About Me
You might expect a coach who helps people with their goals and self discovery would have a lived life full of fulfillment, success, and confidence.
I have experienced all of those things, but there’s so much more to my story.
My journey also includes struggles. Lots of them, ranging from poor self esteem, to health issues, from dropping out of college to accommodate an unplanned pregnancy, to navigating failed businesses and missed opportunities. I have faced hard issues in pretty much every area of my life — my childhood and my family of origin, my marriage, my parenting journey, my friendships, my in-law relationships, my mental, emotional, physical, financial, and spiritual health.
I bet you are wondering why a person whose history is full of "failures" and set backs would make a good coach. Let me explain.
Firstly, I won't judge your limitations, weaknesses, or struggles — I fully understand what it’s like to feel as though you have hardly anything going for you and I know what it’s like to find oneself feeling stuck and unable to move forward. I know what it’s like to get into a toxic cycle of striving or to find yourself using less than healthy coping techniques that ultimately don’t serve you.
I also know the value of getting perspective. I understand the value of making peace with your limitations and your strengths, whilst simultaneously committing to growing and pushing your comfort zone.
I know how hard change is and I will not make light of it, nor will I give up you.
I also know how worth it the efforts and fruits of change really are.
I love observing how active listening, empowerment dialogue and reality based encouragement helps my clients grow, achieve and take the lead in their lives. From the practical to the inspirational, I look forward to helping you work what you got.
My Background
Education and Certificates
My search for understanding and healthy coping techniques motivated me to study personality type systems, life coaching, healthy communication models, and body language. I chose remote and independent learning options that allowed me to get certified as a life coach through Renaissance Life Therapies, to study body language science through The Science of People School, and personality typing using the Cognitive Functions Method through Type In Mind. I read dozens of self help and therapeutic books in search of effective coping and thriving techniques.
Specialization
Change coaching and personality based typing and coaching.
Personal Life
I am fortunate to enjoy a romantic and fulfilling marriage with my husband of 15 years. I am a mom to 4 excellent daughters. I grew up as the oldest in a large, quirky family. I enjoy delightful friendships, a variety of crafts and artistic pursuits, gluten free cooking, lively conversation, board games, and studying people, in media, literature, and life.
What's In It For You
Life coaching empowers you to unlock your potential by setting clear goals, overcoming obstacles, and building confidence. With accountability, fresh perspectives, and actionable strategies, a life coach helps you make meaningful changes in career, relationships, and well-being, accelerating your path to a more fulfilled, balanced, and purpose-driven life.
How I Do It
Ensuring my clients best chances at a successful and rewarding coaching experience, we begin with a 90 minute evaluative session either in person or over the phone, followed by a series of weekly one hour sessions typically completed over the phone. The client and I can make adaptations the format to better suit the client's goals if necessary.
Who I Help
I work with a wide range of clients in various walks or life. My main criteria for determining compatibility with potential clients are that they be motived to change something about their lives, and willing to challenge themselves in the pursuit of that change.
